A few country stars are among the finalists for the 2016 Billboard Touring Awards. The honors salute the top touring artists, concert industry executives, tour companies and venues / festivals of the past year (Oct. 1, 2015-Sept. 30, 2016), based on box office data as reported to Billboard Boxscore.

As reported by Billboard, Kenny Chesney's 2016 Spread the Love Tour and Luke Bryan's 2016 Kill the Lights Tour are among the finalists for the Top Package prize. Additionally, Brad Paisley's Country Nation College Tour and Florida Georgia Line's 2016 Dig Your Roots Tour are nominated for the Concert Marketing & Promotion Award, while the Stagecoach Music Festival, which occurs annually in Indio, Calif., is nominated for Top Festival.

In 2015, Chesney's 2015 The Big Revival Tour took home the Top Package prize at the Billboard Touring Awards. However, it's unlikely that the country superstar will be among the awards' nominees in 2017: He recently revealed that he will be scaling down his tour dates next year.

“We’re going to pull back just a little bit [from the road] ... [W]ith the new music, I want the fans to digest it and let it seep into their lives a little bit," Chesney says. "So, next year, we’ll do five or six shows — we don’t know how many yet — but other than that, we’ll let this new music find its way. Then, the next year, we’ll crank it up again."

The 2016 Billboard Touring Awards are set to take place in Los Angeles on Nov. 9, during the Billboard Touring Conference (Nov. 9-10). Paisley was the keynote speaker at the conference in 2015.
