Just in case you haven't had your fill of American celebrations yet, there are still some fantastic celebration events coming up within driving distance of Lawton.

  • Marlow, OK

The annual Independence Day Celebration & Parade is the biggest event of the year for Marlow. They start it off with a good old fashion parade in the morning, family fun throughout the day in Rosebud Park, then cap off the celebration with a fireworks display in the evening. It's also the closest 4th of July event left on the calendar.

  • State Fair Park, OKC

While there are a bunch of Independence Day celebrations across the Oklahoma City Metro, there are two really big events.

Red, White, & Boom is a free concert and fireworks display put on by the OKC Philharmonic. It's not an all-day type of event, but thousands show up for it every year. Best part is it's easy to find being right off I-44 & I-40.

If you're down for a little upscale 'Merica, here are all the details.

  • OKC's 4th Fest

Possibly the biggest I.D. party in Oklahoma this year is happening at Riversport Adventure Park down in the Boathouse District of OKC. While it's not the easiest place to navigate to, it's sure to be one the kids will love.

There is so much stuff to do in the Boathouse District. Whitewater rafting, huge slides, lots of water activities, food trucks, loud music, etc... It's sure to be a party.

While the event and celebration is free and open to the public, you will have to pay for parking and any of the activities you want to partake in. Here's the website.

  • Wichita Falls, TX

If you were looking to head South, 4th in the Falls is a pretty big celebration each year. WF is hosting live music down at MPEC throughout the day, encoring with their own fireworks display as the sun goes down.

It's free, really family friendly, and could be an interesting day. Here are those details as well.
