July 4th Fireworks in and Near Lawton

With recent drought conditions, there are many counties in the Texoma areas that have banned private fireworks and even some that have banned fireworks all together. In order to celebrate the Independence Day holiday in the most safe and sane manners, we have decided to help you out with suggestions as to how to safely celebrate the fourth.

Let's start off with the bad news. The counties with complete fireworks bans in the Texoma Region are: Carter (OK), Clay (TX), Collin (TX), Comanche (OK-Indian Trust Properties Only), Cooke (TX), Grayson (TX), Kiowa (OK), Tillman (OK) and Wichita (TX). Wilbarger Co. (TX) will have a limited ban in place.

The following counties will only hold public displays, but will not allow private fireworks: Caddo, Cotton, Grady, Greer, Jackson, Jefferson, Stephens (all in OK.)
