Kathryn Friedl, is one of the final 100 participants in the 45th Pillsbury Bake Off® Contest. Her Tuscan Stromboli’s recipe beat out tens of thousands of entries. On March 26th, Friedl will have the chance to compete at the finals in Orlando, Florida for a chance to win $1 million dollars!

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you would like to meet Fredl you will have a chance to do so because on March 14th, before flying off to sunny Florida, Friedl will meet with people at the Wal-Mart located at 6301 NW Quanah Parker Trailway. Friedl will have samples of her winning Tuscan Stromboli.

The final contest is divided in four categories: Breakfast & Brunches, Entertaining Appetizers, Dinner Made Easy™ and Sweet Treats. A panel of food experts will taste the recipes to select the grand prize winner.

The Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest originated in 1949, with the first competition at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City, NY. The contest was held annually from 1949 to 1978, when it switched to an every-other-year schedule. The $1 million grand prize was first awarded in 1996 to Kurt Wait, who was also the first man to win top honors in the contest.
