Take a walk down adoption row…

The Lawton Animal Welfare Division is currently facing a population crisis at its Lawton facility and is asking for the public's help to ease the over-population.

With the recent flooding in the Lawton area, Lawton Animal Welfare has has to take a lot of animals who were separated from their families during that time. With the upcoming holiday weekend, they are facing an annual influx of animals that were spooked by holiday fireworks, along with animals that are being given up by their owners. Animal Welfare is looking for people to either adopt, or to take in an animal on a foster basis.

Lawton Animal Welfare employees have been working late into the night to prepare pets to be placed in homes in the are, with 27 animals being spayed or neutered and who are all now looking for homes. There are others who have been with the LAWD for awhile, so they are ready to placed immediately. So, if you are looking for a small, medium, or large dog we have the exact fit for your family.
