ABC’s upcoming Muppets mockumentary series only had so much to show at its recent Comic-Con 2015 panel, but with an actual premiere as far away as September, Kermit, Ms. Piggy, Gonzo and the gang dug deep for a special preview. Check out the 10-minute presentation that convinced ABC to make a new Muppets series!

Following its debut in San Diego, ABC have given into “overwhelming demand” to release the ten-minute preview, which features Kermit announcing the prospect of a new series to the gang, and subsequently re-recruiting Ms. Piggy for the effort.

So reads ABC’s official description for The Muppets, airing Tuesdays this fall after a September 22 premiere:

THE MUPPETS – The Muppets return to primetime with a contemporary, documentary-style show. For the first time ever, a series will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires. This is a more adult Muppet show, for “kids” of all ages.

Bill Prady (“The Big Bang Theory”) and Bob Kushell (“Anger Management”) are co-writers and executive producers. Randall Einhorn (“Wilfred”), Bill Barretta, Debbie McClellan and Kyle Laughlin are also executive producers. “The Muppets” is produced by ABC Studios and The Muppets Studio.

You can check out the full presentation for The Muppets above (including bonus celebrity cameos), and stay tuned for more leading up to the September 22 premiere.
