‘All My Children’ Sets End Date

It’s the end of an era. Well, almost.
EW.com confirmed Thursday that ABC’s long-running soap opera, ‘All My Children,’ will officially go off the air on Friday, Sept. 23. Among the stars returning to bid adieu are Josh Duhamel and Carol Burnett.
Taking its place the following Monday will be ‘The Chew,’ a new one-hour lifestyle series featuring “a diverse panel of co-hosts that includes restaurateurs and ‘Iron Chef’ stars Mario Batali and Michael Symon, entertaining expert Clinton Kelly, ‘Top Chef’ alum Carla Hall and health & wellness enthusiast Daphne Oz.”
ABC announced in April that it is canceling ‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live’ due to low ratings and rising production costs.
