Ashley McBryde's "A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega" and its accompanying music video are an ode to all of the the tough life circumstances that can leave us down -- from breakups to broken-down cars -- and the journey to climb back out to happiness and normalcy. The "A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega" video was filmed in 33-year-old McBryde's current home of Watertown, Tenn., just outside of Music City. Directed by Reid Long, the clip follows the stories of a few folks who aren't having the best days but end up, as the song goes, having a "'making the best of the worst day' kind of night."

“I am really excited and proud that we were able to film it in the Watertown / Lebanon area with real people, having a real good time,” McBryde says in a press release. “Reid was really able to capture the energy surrounding this song, because you can't fake something like that.”

McBryde co-wrote "A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega" alongside Nicolette Hanford and Jesse Rice. On the day the song came to be, all three of them were getting together to write after not-so-great days.

“We had all had a really bad day. Not one of the worst days of my life, but I had one of those days where nothing was going right," McBryde says. "I got a crack in my windshield on my way to work, I got sick, and had broken a guitar string all within an hour and a half. On top of that my co-writer, Jesse, was late, but bless his heart, when he walked in, we could tell he had had a night and a morning that was just as rough as ours.

"That’s how we got on the subject of having the worst day ever," she continues, "and that's when Jesse started talking about his car breaking down in Dahlonega, Ga.”

"A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega" comes off of McBryde's upcoming Jay Joyce-produced album. The song is available for download via iTunes and Amazon.
