At age 11, Conaway received praise from Billy Ray Cyrus after seeing her work as an amateur photographer, encouraging her to follow in her mother's footsteps. She then started freelancing for multiple publications as a photographer, before she began dabbling with writing. By the early 2000s, she was an published journalist for many music magazines on the market. At 29, she has established herself as a well-respected writer in the field of music entertainment and has built strong friendships along the way.
