This past weekend at the Great plains coliseum, there was a furry of activity. No the barn was not full of 4 legged animals but that of the 4 wheel variety.
Ahhhh. Summertime means vacation time. And for the majority of American's it means hitting the open road and staying at a hotel along the way.
This is the 10th annual event which raises money for OK Kids Korral, a cost-free place to stay for pediatric cancer patients in Oklahoma. Once this facility opens it will become a place for parents and kids alike to have one less thing to worry about while undergoing treatment.
Dinner time. A gathering around the dining room table with family or sitting at the kitchen nook. Where ever you decide to eat there is likely to be something that you truly enjoy. Could it be that there is something that you eat on a regular basis that sparks a memory form your childhood? Or did you had a stressful day at the office and you want to relieve the tension by diving into something tasty?
This morning I stopped to get gas and as I was pulling in my neighborhood gas station I notice the price of gas has gone up since last week. I wasn’t surprise by the gas prices going up, for the past 10 years I have seen the gas trend again and again. At first I was surprised, sure it’s just a seasonal thing, then maybe I am driving too much, I tried to cut on that, and it when on for a bit.
Whitney Houston was laid to rest this past weekend amid a series of celebrations and accolades of her life which (in some opinions) ended way too soon. But there were other people who decided that her send off was over the top.
Whitney Houston. Beautiful musician, singer and actress. Taken away from us too soon. I like many others were captivated in the mid 1980's by her voice.
Ever pull up to a gas pump and whip out the plastic to pay at the pump? Convenience is a must in this day and age. Why go inside and have to wait for the clerk when you can pay at the pump?
Future Farmers of America, Indahoma Chapter will have a Chili Cook off to raise money.
Tomorrow, February 5, 2012 is Super Bowl Sunday. There will be millions of people watching the game any where they can.
It is Groundhog Day and we've already heard that the World famous Groundhog - Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. That means 6 more weeks of winter.
Now that we are half way through the week and getting closer to the Super Bowl, one of my favorite kitchen devices is the Crock Pot. Now just like in real life, this cock pot post had to cook just the right amount of time before it could be posted. Enjoy!
