February 29, 2012 The weather has been absolutely crazy this year! I was chatting with family members in Minnesota today and they are having a huge winter snow storm. Schools are closed and the power is out. Our winter this year has been mild compared to the last couple of years, don't you think?

February 22, 2012 The room is dark, tables are set, I can feel the plates under my fingers when I trace my hand, the smell of delicious food makes my mouth water, but the only way to know what I am eating is through tasting it because I am blindfolded. Dining in the Dark, scheduled for February 25th, 2012, presented by Lawton Patriot Lions Club and Cameron Campus Ministry, is a benefit event to help raise money for the Oklahoma Lions Eye Bank.

As part of my quest to become Healthy and Well in 2012, I have decided to try and cook more. It's not that I can't cook, it's just that I really don't care to that much. Luckily, David is on board with our healthier eating and has been helping me in the kitchen by keeping the dishes from piling up.
