Nancy Mace

My husband David and I live on "The Mace Place" and raise cattle for show.  We both enjoy the country life but just wish that once in awhile we could get pizza delivery! I have 2 horses that I adore.  My husband, well, not so much!  He thinks all they do is eat and poop!  (He's right, you know.)   We have no children unless you count our dogs Tooter and Rowdy.  Oh my GOSH they keep us going.  You'll hear a lot about them on my shift.

New Study Says Heart Attacks are More Difficult to Detect in Women

My Mother was 56 years old when she had her heart attack.  I called her and asked her if she remembered what it was like.  She told me "I remember feeling scared.  I could see my heart jumping in my chest.  I didn't know what to do and I tried to get in touch with your Dad but couldn't reach him.  Remember, we didn't have 911 back in 1986."

Dining in the Dark With the Lawton Patriot Lions Club

The room is dark, tables are set, I can feel the plates under my fingers when I trace my hand, the smell of delicious food makes my mouth water, but the only way to know what I am eating is through tasting it because I am blindfolded. Dining in the Dark, scheduled for February 25th, 2012, presented by Lawton Patriot Lions Club and Cameron Campus Ministry, is a benefit event to help raise money for the Oklahoma Lions Eye Bank.

As part of my quest to become Healthy and Well in 2012, I have decided to try and cook more.  It's not that I can't cook, it's just that I really don't care to that much.  Luckily, David is on board with our healthier eating and has been helping me in the kitchen by keeping the dishes from piling up.
