According to the Associated Press and ABC News, blues legend B.B. King has been placed in hospice care at his home in Las Vegas. The 89-year-old guitar legend posted thanks to his fans on his website for fans' well-wishes and prayers after returning home from a brief hospitalization Friday.

An ambulance was summoned to King's Las Vegas home on Thursday, after what police have characterized as a domestic dispute over medical care. No arrests were made at the scene, and police say no criminal complaint has been filed.

It was the second time in the past month that the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has been hospitalized. Las Vegas Police summoned paramedics to the home, who checked King's heart rhythm, and transported him to the hospital, where he was reportedly treated for complications of high blood pressure and diabetes.

Accompanied by his legendary guitar, Lucille, King is widely considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time. The pairing's career has spanned over 66 years, starting with his first single in 1949. King has recorded 43 studio solo albums, starting with his first album, Singin' The Blues, in 1957. He has also released 17 live albums and 14 compilation albums.

His style, geared more towards entire albums, has still managed to chart 4 #1 singles, including "3 O'Clock Blues" in 1951 and "You Know I Love You" in 1952. King's signature song, "The Thrill Is Gone" peaked at #3 in 1969.
