A former New Jersey cop who was earning 70 grand a year in disability payments had his checks stopped when he was caught wrestling and chasing after vehicles on a reality show.

Joseph Derrico resigned from the Hamilton County Police Force in October 2010, incidentally three months after he was indicted for receiving stolen property. He Then began collecting money for a leg injury that a doctor deemed to be disabling.

However, his superiors on the force found Derrico able-bodied enough as a character on TruTV's Bear Swamp Recovery, a reality show centering on repo men in Jersey. He's seen wrestling and chasing after the driver of a stolen monster truck in scenes of the seemingly-staged show.
