Best Places to Take Mom on Mother’s Day in Lawton

I am not a Mom but I thought about what my Mom would enjoy and what I would enjoy doing with my Mom and came up with these 5 places or things you could do for your Mom on Mother’s Day in or around Lawton.
Wildflower walk
This time of year the Oklahoma Wildflowers are beautiful! From the purple locoweed to the Canada goldenrod and of course the beautiful Indian paintbrush; the blue bonnets, the prairie corn flowers, even thistle (which my husband David hates). The prairies and the mountains are alive with color this time of year. Take some time and take a walk with your Mom through the Wichita Mountain wildlife refuge and see how many wildflowers you can identify. Take your camera because you will get some beautiful shots.
Mother/daughter spa day
You can’t go wrong with a Mother/Daughter spa day. Relax and enjoy a mani/pedi or a hot stone massage or maybe a nice facial. You can catch up on all that small talk you’ve been missing with her. I will have the opportunity to see my Mom at the end of the month and we are going to share a hotel room together and have a slumber party. She’s going to let me “do her hair”. (She doesn’t know that yet.) I always enjoy spending time with my Mom just chatting and laughing and catching up. Lawton has some very nice day spas. To find a list I just searched for Spas in Lawton and found a lot!

Mother’s Day buffet
Best Western Victoria Restaurant has a wonderful Mother’s Day Buffet. Why mess up your kitchen or hers. Take her out for this wonderful brunch which includes fresh Alaskan fish, steam ship round of beef, stuffed roast loin of pork and boneless breast of chicken with roasted red pepper sauce, all the sides and an array of deserts. Every Mother attending will qualify for a grand prize drawing including a VIP treatment from Thai spa, a one night stay in a Jacuzzi suite including breakfast and a seafood buffet for 2. The buffets at the Best Western are always wonderful. Reservations are suggested so call the Best Western at 353-0200.
Breakfast in bed
A few days ago I posted Creative Breakfast in Bed Recipes for Mother’s Day. There were some fun breakfast recipes in there for you to try out on her. Also, I know most Mom’s would love a bowl of cereal and a piece of toast and cup of coffee served to them while they lounge around for a few minutes before Church on Sunday. Anything you make for her I promise, she’ll love it. Just don’t make her clean up after you.
Plant a garden
And finally, I asked around the office for ideas and I loved the one I got from Ashley. She said she likes to take her Mom some flowering plants and the two of them plant them in her garden together. What a fun project for you and your Mom to do at any age! We have some wonderful nurseries in Lawton as well;
