Americana duo Blue Honey are premiering the music video for their song "Angels Come Home" exclusively for readers of The Boot. Press play above to watch.

A pulsing, tear-jerking love song, "Angels Come Home" was written by Blue Honey members Troy Brooks and Kassie Jordan, alongside songwriters Nathan Meckel and Britton Cameron. The husband-and-wife duo tells The Boot they wanted to write "something true" to them -- "something we could sing wholeheartedly to each other and feel every word."

"Although the song started off being a love song for a couple, throughout the writing process, we started exploring the idea of the 'angel' being anyone you love, like those who fight for our country. So that's why we decided to make the music video about a soldier returning home to his family," Blue Honey add. "It's a tearjerker!"

Based in Nashville, Jordan and Brooks have each pursued solo careers and worked separately as writers, but they've found that they've got a real magic together.

"We just want to write good music we can be happy with," Jordan says. "There’s absolutely no judgement if there’s crazy ideas that come out. Anyone who has ever met us knows that we’re crazy anyway."

Blue Honey are gearing up to release new music in 2018; in the meantime, fans can catch them out on the road as they tour across the United States and Europe over the next year. Check out BlueHoneyMusic.com for more details.
