Brantley Gilbert has yet another reason to smile these days, as his latest single, ‘You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,’ has topped the country singles charts. The tune is Gilbert’s second-consecutive No. 1 hit, following in the footsteps of his previous hit, ‘Country Must Be Country Wide.’

Gilbert took part in penning both tunes, the latest being a collaboration between himself and Jim McCormick and inspired by an ex-girlfriend of the singer’s. As Gilbert hoped would happen, the tune resonated with country fans, who sent the song to earn gold certification for digital downloads exceeding 500,000 copies sold.

“Man, I can’t believe it … this is just so amazing,” Gilbert said upon hearing the news of his latest chart-topper. “What an incredible ride this past year has been! I can’t begin to thank everyone involved enough. Thanks so much to country radio, my management team, the great folks at Valory and most importantly, the BG Nation. We are here because of you!”

Gilbert’s third single from his current ‘Halfway to Heaven’ album will be ‘Kick It in the Sticks,’ a tune he co-wrote with Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip. Look for Gilbert on the road this summer with Toby Keith — click here for a full list of dates where the tour will be stopping.
