How many times has a pop song crossed over to country and reached the top of the charts?  Well, 'My Maria' did just that!

Co-written and recorded originally by B. W. Stevenson, 'My Maria' reached the top ten on the US Pop charts, but it wasn't until it was recorded by country duo Brooks & Dunn that it reached the #1 spot. Not only achieving chart success, this song also was named Song of the year in 1996 and won the duo a Grammy award as Best Country Performance for a Vocal Group or Duo.
