It's Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday and today's catch of the day comes to us from an up and coming, 19 year-old singer/songwriter from Illinois, who's equipped with a voice that won't stay undiscovered long.

Ari Castronovo was born a northerner, growing up in small town Wauconda, Illinois where her heart grew big.  Ari credits her ability to communicate so comfortably through music to the fact that she used to literally sing her sentences as a child.  So much so that her parents had to impose a ‘no singing at the table’ rule so that ‘normal’ conversation could be had when she was just three years old.

During high school, a number of her friends began enlisting in different divisions of the US military.  Hearing their stories, as well as those of their families, brought a growing realization of just how much she had to be thankful for.  Ari soon came to the attention of the non-profit organization Veterans R&R, at the age of 17 while singing at a local event.

Now, at age 19, she has become their National Spokesperson. During her EP Launch Event, she took the spotlight off herself to draw attention to the newly released US government statistics that the suicide rate for veterans has climbed to 24 per day.  She announced her new 24-to-Zero Campaign to end veteran suicide saying, “Enough is enough!”

At that event, Ari released her debut EP Under My Breath officially on January 17, 2015, to a packed crowd of excited fans at Austin’s Fuel Room, in Libertyville, Illinois. From that EP comes a song that Ari is donating all proceeds to her cause, the 24-to-Zero Campaign, and its in our spotlight today. Ari Castronovo and "Your End of the Line" is your Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you''ll want to hear it again.
