‘Catch of the Day’ – Ashley Monroe [AUDIO]

Our Catch of the Day comes to us today from an artist that first came to our attention first as a solo artist, then as part of a pistol-packin' trio, then she hit it big as part of a duo, and is here with us today all on her own, again as a solo artist.

After putting out two solo albums for Sony Records and Warner Bros. Nashville, Ashley Monroe joined up with Miranda Lambert and Angeleena Presley to form Pistol Annies. The trio hit the ground running and their first single, "Hell On Heels" hit the top 10 of the Country charts, and became the title track to their debut album in 2011, with the album climbing to #1. They then teamed up with Blake Shelton for

the single "Boys 'Round Here", which went to #1.

After the release of a second Annie's album, Annie Up in 2013, Monroe resurfaced in 2014, working with Shelton again on the single, Lonely Tonight, which made it to the #1 spot, becoming Blake's 14th consecutive #1 single.

And today we have the lead single to Monroe's as yet named solo album; the single is set to release March 9th and the new album is due out some time later this year.
