‘Catch of the Day’ – Brad Paisley – “Last Time For Everything” [AUDIO]

Our focus today is on an artist who has is known in Nashville almost as much for his incredible sense of humor as he is for being one of the best guitar players to ever strap on a Fender. An artist whose music usually falls into one of three categories -- humorous songs, love songs or "we're country music dammit" songs.

Brad Paisley has been often ranked as not only the top guitarist in country music, but one of the best guitar players, ever, regardless of music genre. His 2008 album, Play, brought together some of the best guitar players in music including Vince Gill, B.B. King Albert Lee, Buck Owens and Steve Wariner on an mostly instrumental project that Paisley often calls his favorite, though it is his only studio album that has not reached gold certification. The only single on the project featured Paisley and his modern day guitar "rival" Keith Urban on a song called "Start a Band", which went to #1, as did the album.

All toll, the singer from Glen Dale, West Virginia, has released 10 studio albums, a Christmas album, 3 compilation albums and has written a best selling book, Diary of a Player. His albums have produced 41 singles, 32 of which have made it to the top-10, 19 of those went to #1. Paisley has sold more than 12 million albums in the US and of his 14 albums, only the instrumental project Play and the compilation import album Norwegian Favorites failed to be certified gold or better by the R.I.A.A.

Paisley headed back into the studio in December, and emerged with his 11th album, Love and War, scheduled for released on April 21st, and the lead single is in our spotlight today.
