It's Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday at the Catch of the Day, and today's artist is a singer/songwriter and good ol' Oklahoma boy from the Tulsa area.

Bryce Dicus grew up in Catoosa Oklahoma and fell in love with music at an early age. He started playing at age 13 when his grandfather bought him his first guitar, first playing in church, graduating to local gigs in his sophomore year in high school.

Born with a passion for sports, he was fortunate enough to attend Northeastern State University on a wrestling scholarship, but his passion for music and performing, kept calling him back. His influences including Red Dirt Texas star Cody Johnson, Merle Haggard and Rhett Akins have helped Dicus develop an unique style.

The singer/songwriter was recently featured in the new music magazine No Cover's April issue and is currently in the studio working on his debut album. Dicus performed at songwriter showcases in Nashville, as well as opening for Texas artist Zane Williams and for Phil Vasser in Dallas in August of 2014.

His first single, "Disappear", featured on his EP entitled The Road and The Radio, met with great response on iTunes. The second single is also from the EP, and it is in our spotlight today. Bryce Dicus and "Ain't Slept Since Texas" is our Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
