Today the catch of the day comes from an artist whose prowess as a songwriter is second to none among today's country music creators.

The name Chris Stapleton may not immediately bring to mind country music superstardom, but when you look at the impressive list of song this artist has written for some of the top names in country music history, you will find his work very familiar. Stapleton has written 4 number 1 songs in his career: "Never Wanted Nothing More" by Kenny Chesney, "Loves Gonna Make It Alright" by George Strait, "Come Back Song" for Darius Rucker and probably his biggest hit "Drink A Beer" for Luke Bryan.

As a performer, Stapleton has easily moved back and forth between blue grass (as lead singer and guitarist of The Steel Drivers) and rock (singer-guitarist for The Jompson Brothers). Stapleton has won six ASCAP awards as a writer as well as three grammys as a member of the Steel Drivers.

Today's catch of the day was originally recorded and released as a single in 2013, but was repackaged for Singleton's debut solo album, Traveller which was released earlier this year. It is being reissued as a single, and it is in our spotlight today. Chris Singleton and "What Are You Listening To" is our Catch of the Day, not quite so new music you may not have heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
