It's Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday and you never who or where our Thursday artist will be, or just where they come from. Today's up and coming singer/songwriter coming artist hails from Covington, OH and proves that to every rule, there is an exception.

The rule in Nashville is that it takes 10 years to be an over-night sensation. Clark Manson was discovered in 2013. After performing locally as a child, Manson tried to overlook his natural musical abilities when he decided to attend Wright State University in Fairborn, OH. But the lure of performing in local pubs soon caught  Clark's attention, and before long he was packing the bars surrounding several Universities, and Manson was on his way.

In the summer of 2013, Clark Manson became officially sponsored by Jagermeister USA. He released his debut album, Running with the Night in November 2013, and the album quickly climbed the iTunes charts, peaking at number thirty. Running with the Night also checked in at number five on the Billboard “Heatseekers” chart in November 2013, receiving recognition all around the world by Manson’s thirty-three thousand Twitter followers and fans.

The local success was just the gentle kick Clark needed to send him to Nashville where he came and recorded a project of tunes co-written with another hometown pal, Dustin Blythe. An independent radio station in Lima added some of their tunes from the debut album, and that led to Clark opening for artists like Cole Swindell, Dustin Lynch and Chase Rice.

Clark describes himself as being "young and enthusiastic", believing his sound and writing is still evolving. That evolution has led him into our spotlight today. His latest single, from a yet to be named EP our Catch of the Day. Clark Manson and "Track 9" is new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
