Today we are featuring an artist who grew up on a farm in Florida, and was introduced to country music by watching re-runs of Hee Haw on television. He began playing guitar at age fourteen and never looked back.

Easton Corbin enjoyed country music growing up on his grandparents farm in Trenton, Florida. But making a living singing and playing guitar never crossed his mind. He joined his first band in high school, eventually opening for Janie Fricke and Mel McDaniel, but after graduating high school he was off to Florida College of Agriculture, earning a degree in agribusiness, but soon after, moved to Nashville.

Easton landed a job working at Ace Hardware in Nashville as he put his first project together, a six-track demo EP, with Corbin and producer Steve Davis deciding to feature both full instrumentals and acoustic versions of songs on the disc. The disc was produced in a limited quantity and has become a highly sought after collector's item for his fans. While the tracks can be found on youtube, they are yet to appear on any of Corbin's albums.

The disc did hit the mark with Joe Fisher of Universal Music Group Nashville, who signed Corbin to the label on the strength of the demo in 2009. Easton's debut single, "A Little More Country Than That", co-written by Rory Feek (of Joey & Rory), along with Don Poythress and Wynn Varble, was released in August of that year and slowly climbed its way to #1, landing in the top spot on April 3, 2010. Corbin's self-titled debut album was released in March of 2010 and also featured his follow-up #1 hit "Roll With It" and a third single, the top-20 song "I Can't Love You Back".

Corbin followed his successful debut with a strong second album All Over The Road, which was released in September of 2012, featuring two more top-10 singles, "Lovin' You Is Fun" and the title track. In 2014 he released his third album, About to Get Real. The album has so far featured 3 singles, including the top-10 hit "Baby Be My Love Song"; the fourth single from the album is in our spotlight today. Easton Corbin, with a song that has already topped the charts in Austria, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland, "Are You With Me" is today's Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
