‘Catch of the Day’ – Erin Michelle – “It’s Your Lie” [AUDIO]

It's Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday and today we turn the spotlight on an artist from Ponca City, OK, who is pursuing her life-ling dream in Nashville, but is coming home to Oklahoma and playing here in Lawton this weekend.

Erin Michelle began her love affair with music at the ripe old age of 3. The daughter of a music teacher, Erin quickly became enthralled by the music that was all around her. She became involved in anything musical, performing in anything musical, entertaining audiences at local and statewide festivals, competing in competitions across Oklahoma and volunteering to perform for charitable organizations.

As she matured as a performer, the desire to land in Nashville grew within Erin with every performance. But there were a few small detours along the way, including college at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, touring with the World Traveling Roustabouts and Oprah a la Carte and a spot as a featured act for Carnival Cruises. But when she was done with college, she packed up her car and headed to Nashville.

Eric has furthered the dream in Nashville by performing at Tootsies, Second Fiddle, The Wildhorse Saloon, Fuel Second Ave, Dave & Busters- Opening for Chris Young, and Music City Bar & Grill. Erin has also entertained sports fans by singing the National Anthem at an Oklahoma Redhawks Baseball game, a Nashville Kats arena football game, The Nashville Sounds baseball game, and a Memphis Redbirds baseball game.

Recently Erin has taken her show out on the road to entertain fans at Lucky Star Casino, Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, The Kansas State Fair, Ballys Casino, Harlows Casino, Hard Rock Café, 4th Street Live, and an opening slot for Jimmy Wayne at Eddy’s Attic. This weekend she brings her tour home to Oklahoma and will be appearing Friday and Saturday at the Apache Casino Hotel in Lawton, taking the stage in the lounge both nights at 8pm.
