‘Catch of the Day’ – Kacey Musgraves [AUDIO]

Today's Catch of the Day comes from an artist who first came to our attention as a contestant on Nashville Star and who was won multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM awards.

And whose name is not Miranda Lambert.

Kacey Musgraves finished 7th in season five of Nashville Star. After releasing a self title debut album independently in 2007, she released an acoustic EP in 2009, then signing with Mercury Records Nashville in 2012. Her break-through album Same Trailer, Different Park, released in 2013 and has garnered Musgraves CMA awards (Best New Artist, Song of the Year), ACM Awards (Album of the Year) and Grammy Awards (Best Country Song, Best County Album). Musgrave also won a Grammy as a writer for Miranda Lambert's single "Mama's Broken Heart."

Same Trailer, Different Park produced four singles, "Merry-Go-Round", "Blowin' Smoke", "Follow Your Arrow" and "Keep It To Yourself. "Merry-Go-Round" was certified platinum, while "Follow Your Arrow" was certified gold, as was the album. Today's spotlighted song is the lead single from an as of yet untitled album.
