It's Thursday, and as is the norm around here on this day, today we bring you one of the great unsigned or independent label artist fighting to make it to the forefront in Nashville. A returnee to our Thursday spotlight, whose rocker appearance belies the North Carolina country girl inside.

Kasey Tyndall isn't a rocker who jumps to country music to try and bolster her career; while she wears concert shirts from some of the biggest shows in rock history, she is a tried and true country girl to the bone. She got her big break in 2014, when she won a local radio contest and got the opportunity to appear with Keith Urban, and sing his hit "We Were Us", stepping in for Miranda Lambert at an Urban concert in Houston. Doors began opening immediately for the young singer and soon she was signed by talent agency WME for representation and whisked off to Nashville to chase that neon dream.

When Tyndall got to Music City, she was admittedly as "green as the money used to move" to Nashville. She sat down for her first co-writing session with legendary songwriter Doug Johnson, not even knowing who exactly she had

been paired with. It wasn't until another participant in the session, Nick Autry. told her that she realized who she was working with and it came to her exactly where her life was heading. She recently signed with Sony ATV and more pairings have followed.

She has also been in the studio, working on her debut album, scheduled for release this month. Award winning producer Tommy Cecil (Luke Bryan, Parmalee, Jake Owen) has taken the reigns on the project. She has been on the road with Granger Smith, Kane Brown and fellow North Carolinians Parmalee promoting the upcoming album, and now she is preparing to kick it into overdrive to spread the news of the new project.
