It's Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday, and once again we bring you one of the top acts in country music that may not necessarily be known to the major Music City record labels. A self-proclaimed "Air Force brat" that was born in Alexandria, LA, raised in El Segundo, CA, and who grew up listening to the classic sounds of Merle Haggard, Dwight Yokum and Garth Brooks.

Singer and songwriter Keith Walker firmly believes that its easy to say you love something, but it is the route taken that means the most. Keith loves country music, which might sound a little odd for a guy that was raised in the shadow of Los Angeles International Airport. But its the road taken to Nashville that makes the most sense.

While he was still in junior high school, Keith watched an ordeal that helped him understand what country music was all about. Even though he grew up in a household where Hank Williams and Dolly Parton frequented the radio, he never understood his life's calling until his older brother's girlfriend was involved in an auto accident and fell into a coma. Watching the pain his older brother went through, exposing his vulnerability made the word's of Tim McGraw's "Please Don't Take The Girl" seem powerful and prophetic. The ability to put into music what his brother couldn't put into words, left a permanent mark on Keith.

Fast forward a few years and after training at the University of Vienna in Austria, Walker returned home to California, where an automobile accident where he rolled over his truck and made it out with only his guitar, Keith made his way to Nashville. Walker spendt his days working on a degree in Opera at Middle Tennessee State University, and his nights dragging his guitar from Nashville night spot to night spot, writing non-stop and playing shows any where around town that would let him set up. The hard work and long nights were poured into his debut EP, Space Between, released in 2013.

Walker worked around Nashville and toured non-stop to support the EP, all while putting songs together for his next project. In 2015 he released his second EP, Chaser. The first single from that project is in our spotlight today. Keith Walker and "Me Too" is our Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
