‘Catch of the Day’ – Kellie Pickler – “My Christmas Caroline” [VIDEO]

Today our Sounds of the Season Friday spotlight falls on a singing competition show finalist, a dancing champion a reality show star....and oh yeah, she's a pretty darn good singer too.

Kellie Pickler first caught our in as a contestant on season 5 of American Idol, finishing in sixth place. Soon after, she signed with 19 Recordings/BNA records, releasing her debut album Small Town Girl in 2006. The album featured Pickler's first top-10 hit, her debut single, which peaked at #10. The album also featured two more top-20 hits, the retrospective "I Wonder" which topped out at #14 and "Things That Never Cross A Man's Mind" which climbed to #16.

She showed her Christmas spirit in 2007, with her version of the classic "Santa Baby", which made it into the top-30 that Holiday season. In 2013 she revisited Christmas, with the release of "The Man With The Bag" which did not chart, but received a lot of air play across the U.S. She also showed off her dance moves in 2013, as she teamed with Derek Hough and was crowned the winner of season 16 of Dancing With The Stars.

Pickler is back in the holiday spirit, and today we feature a Christmas song she co-wrote with her husband, songwriter Kyle Jacobs. Pickler & Jacobs currently co-star on the new reality series I Love Kellie Pickler, and the pair recently debuted the brand new song on the show.
