Today's spotlight falls on the answer to a trivia question. Who finished second to Scotty McCreery on season 10 of American Idol?

The answer: Lauren Alaina.

Lauren Alaina Kristine Suddeth was born and raised in Rossville, GA. In 2011 Lauren Alaina auditioned for season 10 of the popular American Idol in Nashville, TN. After her audition, judge Steven Tyler proclaimed "we found the one". He was ever so close.

After a tough competition (Lauren twice finished 11th in votes in a 12 person field). She steadily improving throughout the run, making it to the finals, taking on fellow country singer Scotty McCreery. With Alaina age 16 and McCreery age 17, the pair made up the youngest final in the program's history. She lost to McCreery in the final, but Interscope Records quickly offered the 17 year-old a contract. She would immediately begin work Wildflower.
