Today's focus is on the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, who's latest single features the lead singer of the reigning CMA Vocal Group of the Year.

Luke Bryan first came to Nashville's attention as a songwriter, penning song's for Travis Tritt and Billy Currington. While building his writing resume, Bryan would release the first of a series of "spring break" albums, drawing the attention of Capitol Records, who would sign him to a recording contract in 2007.

Bryan's debut album, I'll Stay Me the same year, featuring the singles "All My Friends Say", "We Rode In Trucks" and "Country Man". The album has sold over 500,000 copies to date, and is Bryan's only album to have not gone to the number position. His next four albums 2009's Doin' My Thing, 2011's Tailgates and Tanlines, 2013's Crash My Party, and his most recent Kill The Lights have all reached the top spot, the last two debuting at #1.

Crash My Party is a record setting album, not only in country music, but for music of all genres. The album has sold over 2.5 million copies in the US, featuring 6 number 1 singles: "Crash My Party", "That's My Kinda Night", "Drink A Beer", "Play It Again", "Roller Coaster" and "I See You". It made the album the first in music history to feature 6 number 1 singles, with the first four being certified platinum singles.

Bryan has kept his hot streak alive with his most recent album, Kill The Lights, which was released in August. The first two singles from the project, "Kick The Dust Up" and "Strip It Down" have both reached number 1, giving Bryan an active streak of 12 consecutive #1s (the streak includes Bryan's appearance on Florida Georgia Line's #1 hit "This Is How We Roll"). Bryan hopes to keep the streak alive with the third single from the album, which is in our spotlight today. Luke Bryan, featuring Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town with "Home Alone Tonight" is today's Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
