As is our practice on Thursdays, once again we take pride in presenting another of the best unsigned or independent label country artists in all the land. We scour the horizon of country music and spare no expense to bring you the best new artists.

OK, its not all that, but we do like to introduce you to artists we really think you should know about. And today, we traveled all the way to Dallas to find today's Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday focus artist.

Marcus Lindsey is no stranger to the Texas Country Music community. Born and raised in Lone Oak, Texas, Marcus is currently based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Lindsey began singing at an early age, not waiting long after to pick up the guitar. He sang locally through out his high school years, and after graduated he took his talents on the road, touring as the leader of the band Deuces Wild.

When Deuces Wild disbanded in 1999, Marcus continued to make his way in the world of Texas country music, his unique blending classic and modern country into a sound that won him a Terry Award in 2007 for Vocalist Of The Year. He toured and recorded as a solo artist, but in 2015 he "put the band back together", bringing in former Deuces Wild band mates Jeff Nickolson and "Dizzy" Dave Dalton to form the Marcus Lindsey Band. With a sound that transports listeners across eras, the group performs all over Texas, continuing to set new standards and redefine country music.

We have the lead single from Marcus Lindsey's 2015 self-titled album in our spotlight. Marcus, backed by the band and "One Less Fool In Amarillo" is today's Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
