Total we feature a group whose debut single took the country music world by storm, coming out of nowhere to sell over 250,000 copies, receive gold certification and peak in the top-5 on the country singles charts. A group that pays tribute to a country music legend with their look, their sound and even the band's name.

The group Midland is a very unique of personalities that have come together to form a sound that is unique in the today's landscape of country music performers, yet reminds many of a sound from the late 70's and early 80's. When former actor and underwear model Mark Wystrach, video director Cameron Duddy and guitarist Jess Carson met at a wedding in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They started jamming at a party prior to the wedding, and knew almost immediately they had something worth pursuing.

The trio got together in Dripping Springs, TX and started playing locally around the area, slowly expanding their reach across west Texas. They easily fell into a sound that reminds people of classic country of the 70's and 80's, paying homage to their idols Dwight Yoakam and Willie Nelson. Even the band's name came from the Yoakam song "Fair To Midland", and it's obvious by their look that Yoakam influenced more than just their sound.

After signing with Big Machine Records in early 2016, the band released their self-titled debut EP in October of the year. The EP didn't immediately produce a single, going almost unnoticed for a stretch, but in July of 2017, they released their debut single, "Drinkin' Problem" to little or no fanfare. But, like a Texas wildfire, the song's traditional sound quickly caught on and spread across country radio. It would eventually peak at #3 on the country charts, selling more than 250,000 copies and receiving gold certification, serving as not only the group's debut single, but also the lead-in for their now highly anticipated debut album, On The Rocks, which is scheduled for release on September 22nd.
