promotional power of the big boys. Today we feature an artist from the Central California region, who grew up in a very musical household, but kept her own personal abilities hidden until high school.

Having a mother who is a classically trained vocalist, and two older brothers who had their own rock bands, it was natural when Natalie Alexander started playing piano at age 8. But to avoid comparison to her mother and brothers, she kept her own vocal abilities under wraps, managing her brothers' bands until her junior year in high school when she was competing with a friend in a school talent show. Natalie battled nerves for her performance, but once she got past the stage fright, and by the time she was done, she knew where she wanted to be on stage.

Heavily influenced by strong country female singer/songwriters like Carrie Underwood, Maren Morris and Taylor Swift, Alexander has recently started playing guitar, and at the same time has started writing her own songs. Natalie feels herself inspired by "story-tellers", and uses this inspiration to grow and expand her abilities,

contributing to the writing of all four songs on her self-titled debut EP.
