Today we feature an artist who grew up with enough people mispronouncing his name, that he called his debut album Get My Name Right. An artist who was raised in a family that was passionate about music, and it rubbed off on him at an early age.

Noe Palma's earliest music memory is hearing Elvis Presley sing "All Shook Up" and the effect it had on him. From as far back as he could remember, Palma was engulfed in rhythms and sounds as both of his parents were singers and his father also played guitar. Growing up in the Kansas City area, he sang in choirs in school, but he knew that the music just didn't match what he was feeling in his soul. He was country deep down inside.

Palma would begin singing with local bands. First he would front local bands, eventually he would start up his own band, The Broken Cowboys, who would tour throughout Missouri and surrounding states, playing all the major venues in the area. In 2001 the band would take 2nd place at the Colgate Country Music Showdown, where they were noticed by Scott Siman of RPM Management, who managed Tim McGraw.

Despite finding some limited success with the Broken Cowboys, Noe decided to venture out on his own in 2009. Working with several song writers he put together songs for his debut EP, blending southern rock and country while also working on his live show, expanding his audience and moving towards Nashville. After several years on the road, he had enough songs put together to produce his debut album, and drew on life experience not only for the music, but for the title too. As he grew up with a name that is often mispronounced, he titled his debut Get My Name Right.
