Today our focus is not on a future #1 hit, or the latest from one of country music's young tigers. Its not a song we expect to soon see soaring up the charts, nor will it be named Billboard Magazine's Song of the Year.

When Reba McEntire recently announced she would be releasing a gospel album, country music fans rejoiced at the news. The past few years have been a time of change for the Oklahoma native, and with the release of Sing It Now: Songs of Faith and Hope, Reba gets back to her musical roots; the gospel music she sang in church and with her family, that she credits as the beginning of her love of music and performing.

In a career that spans 40 years, including 30 studio albums, 16 compilation albums, 3 Holiday albums and one live album, Reba has never attempted a strictly gospel project. With the help of family and friends, she has connected the dots between the traditional gospel she grew up on and music that has uplifted her and carried her through difficult times in her life. Included on the double album is an updated version of the first song that Reba ever sang in public, "Jesus Loves Me", "Oh Happy Day", which was suggested by McEntire's Reba co-star Melissa Peterson and "I'll Fly Away" which features McEntire's mother, sister and aunt contributing vocals.

The album, produced by McEntire and Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus features another collaboration, which is in our spotlight today. Reba, with Kelly Clarkson and Trisha Yearwood and "Softly and Tenderly" is today's Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
