‘Catch of the Day’ – Ryan Hurd – “Love In A Bar” [VIDEO]

Today we take a look and listen at an artist that was named as one of Rolling Stone magazine's 10 Country Artists You Need To Know in 2016. A singer and songwriter that has written songs for Blake Shelton, Maren Morris and Dierks Bentley.

Born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI, Ryan Hurd is definitely an artist with a bright future. Named to Rolling Stone's "Country Artists You Need To Know" and CMT's "Listen Up" lists in 2016, Hurd received over 2 million downloads for his debut single "We Do Us" in just three weeks during 2015. Hurd originally came to Nashville as a song writer, and has songs recorded by Florida Georgia Line, Tim McGraw and others, including Blake Shelton and Ashley Monroe, who recorded Hurd's "Lonely Tonight" and took it all the way to #1, the first for Hurd. The song also received nominations for song of the year by both the Grammy Awards and the CMA's.

Hurd released his debut EP Panorama in 2016. After the release, he joined

young artists of all genre as part of Vivo video's "dcsvr" program, highlighting break out videos from new artists. At the beginning of 2017, Hurd signed with RCA Records, which also is the recording home to his girlfriend, Maren Morris. We have the second single from Panorama in our spotlight today.
