Today's catch of the day comes from a young, up-and-coming duo that met in college and are hotter than the tip of a flaming match.

Nashville's Belmont University has come to be an undergraduate school for the country music industry. Boasting such notable alumni as Greg Bates, Julie Roberts, Trisha Yearwood, Minnie Pearl (as Sarah Cannon, she attended when the school was known as the Ward-Belmont School), Lee Ann Womack, Larry Stewart (Restless Heart), Josh Turner, Canaan Smith, Pam Tillis, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard (Florida-Georgia Line), Brandy Clark, Sarah Buxton and Brad Paisley, Belmont University seems to be the place to attend to get your start in Music City. The University's most recent addition to the country music world is the guitar duo of Sarah Zimmerman and Justin Davis, known collectively as Striking Matches.

Striking Matches first came to the attention of Frankie Pine, music supervisor for the TV series Nashville while Pine was on a trip to Music City. Pine met Davis and Zimmerman at the office of Universal Publishing and decided to use their songs on the series. The featured song "When The Right One Comes Along" led a total of six songs the duo showcased in the series first two seasons. Striking Matched then signed to I.R.S. Records; their debut album, Nothing But The Silence, produced by T-Bone Burnett, was released March 22nd.

The first single from the album is in our spotlight today. Striking Matches and "Miss Me More" is today's Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
