Today we spotlight two ACM Award winners who were VERY busy in 2016, and are looking towards an even busier 2017. One is definitely looking to make 2017 HIS year, with the ACM Male Vocalist of the Year award now in his possession, a brand new album on the way, and oh yeah, he and his wife are adding not one, but two

daughters to their family. The other, the winner of the ACM Best New Female Vocalist Award, broke out in 2016, with a gold selling debut album, 2 top-10 singles and her first headlining tour, which will make a stop at Ft Sill July 4th.

When Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren add room to their home four not one, but two daughters they are welcoming to the Aikens' family, they also might want to add a trophy room. One of the big winners at the 2017 ACM Awards (he won for Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year for "Die A Happy Man"), Rhett and his wife discovered they were expecting a daughter soon after finalizing the adoption of another daughter. The family expects to welcome home both children at about the same time. With the release of his third album in 2017, it looks like its going to be a good year for the son of singer/songwriter Rhett Aikens.

Not that 2016 was a bad year for Rhett. His second album, Tangled Up, which was released in 2015, was certified platinum and featured four #1 singles, including "Die A Happy Man" which was the longest running #1 single of the year, lasting at the top of the chart for six weeks. He also went out on his first headlining tour, the Home Team tour, with Kelsea Ballerini and Old Dominion also going along for the ride. Not a bad year, and 2017 is starting out even better.

Heading into 2016, most people had never heard of Texan Maren Morris. 2016 saw her rise from obscurity to winning both the CMA Best New Artist Award for 2016 and the 2017 ACM Best New Female Artist Awards as well as the Billboard Women in Music 2016 Breakthough Star Award. She has performed on Saturday Night Live, the CMA Awards, the Grammys, the ACM Awards and with Alicia Keys on CMT's Crossroads. Two top-10 hits off of her gold certified, #1 major label debut album Hero. She has toured with Keith Urban on the Ripcord world tour and is getting ready to head out with Sam Hunt's 15 in a 30 tour, as well as headlining her own Hero tour, which will be making a stop on Ft. Sill for the annual 4th of July concert, which she will be headlining along with Aaron Watson.
