It's Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday, and today we are highlighting a singer and songwriter from north of the border, in Ottawa. No, not the Canadian border, the Kansas border. He hails from the town of Ottawa, KS, 53 miles south of Kansas City.

Travis Marvin has been playing around his hometown of Ottawa for over 10 years, having performed for local radio and television stations through out the midwest, as well as appearing as an opening act for artists like Eric Church, Lee Brice, Little Big Town Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan. He is scheduled to play on New Years Eve at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa, and is currently on tour with Aaron Lewis.

No matter where his music may take him, Travis says Kansas will always be his home, as evident by the picture of him on his web-page wearing a KC Royals baseball cap, Travis is a true Jayhawk. Family and his friends are his priority, with his music and his fans a close second. Travis brings a perspective and passion to music that's true to his midwestern roots, a passion he brings to every performance.

Travis has recently completed a new EP, Simple, available at his web site and iTunes; the title track from the project is in our spotlight today. Travis Marvin and "Simple" is our Unsigned/Indy Artist Thursday Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll wanna hear it again.
