Today's catch defines the world "classic." Both the song and the artist performing it can be easily described as 'classic.'

When you look in the Webster's Dictionary under the phrase 'class act', there's a picture of Vince Gill there. Gill as been honored during his career with 20 Grammy Awards, 18 CMA Awards and 5 ACM awards. Gill is a 2007 inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame and in 2005 was inducted into the Nashville Songwriter's Hall of Fame. He has released 20 studio albums, selling 26 million copies and charting 40 singles, 20 of reached the top 10 and 5 of those peaked at #1.

Not bad for a kid from Norman, OK who got his start playing rock and roll with The Pure Prairie League and who was once asked to join Dire Straits. Gill, who efforts go towards countless charities and causes, was honored at the 48th annual CMA Awards when he was given the Irving Waugh award for Excellence in country music. The only other country music artist to receive this award was Johnny Cash.
