Today's Catch of the Day features an act that has been ruling the regional Texas Country Music charts since releasing his debut solo album in 2002.

Wade Bowen was born and raised in Waco, Texas and first came to the attention of Red Dirt Country fans as a member of the band West 84 with friend Matt Miller, before the band was re-aligned in 2001.He released his first solo album in 2002, Try Not To Listen, which became a regional hit in Texas. He released his first live album, The Blue Light Live in 2003 and back to the studio for Lost Hotel in 2006.

When Bowen released If We Ever Make It Home in 2008, it became not only his biggest success to date, but also led to his first national recognition, peaking at #28 on the country music album chart. Bowen then released his second live album Live at Billy Bob's in 2010. Recorded at the legendary club in Ft. Worth, Texas, the album was released as a CD/DVD combo.

Bowen capitalized on the momentum of two consecutive top-30 albums, by releasing The Given in 2012. The album reached #9 and featured two top-40 singles, "Saturday Night" and "To Live Is To Fly."

Bowen is currently preparing to release the album Hold My Beer Vol I with old friend and frequent touring partner Randy Rogers. Today's Catch of the Day is the lead single from his 2014, self-titled album. "When I Woke Up Today", new music you haven't heard, but you will be hearing it again.
