Today we feature an up-and-coming singer/songwriter duo, appear ready to burst on scene and join the list of successful duos or groups whose name make them sound like a single performer. The pair hail from Texas and Kansas and combine for the sound of mid-America.

Self-proclaimed "brothers in blood" Walker McGuire came together in 2012, when Texan Jordan Walker and Kansan Johnny McGuire met on-stage at a Nashville writer's round just day after Walker arrived in Music City. It was a serious case of opposites attract as Walker, who sites influences like Keith Whitley and Dan Seals, while McGuire sites Tom Petty and John Prine as his influences. They wear different looks, but when they open up and sing together, the harmony they produce washes away all the differences wash away.

After coming together in 2012 Walker McGuire has honed their performance by playing almost 300 dates per year. Their music runs the gamut from traditional ballads to up-beat, toe-tapping country-rock toe tappers. The write what they play, adding classic country sounds and themes, adding their own special wit, and topping it all off a vocal chemistry that could melt steel, Walker McGuire was name one of Spotify's "One's To Watch in 2016."
