During this holiday season, we are using Friday to premier a new holiday song. Today the focus on a new version of a Christmas classic, recorded by a young artist who many believe is the next big thing in Country music.

Born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi, William Michael Morgan, is a tall easy going 22-year old that many are calling "the next big thing" in country music. His debut single, "I Met A Girl" is currently climbing the country chart, garnering comparisons to a young George Strait. While most people his age are still trying to figure their futures out, Morgan signed his first recording contract before turning 20.

He began playing in bands in and around Nashville at age 16, writing with many established names on Music Row while still in high school. He permanently moved to Music City at age 18, soon after signing a recording contract with Warner Records Nashville and a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Publishing. His exposure to Music Row quickly helped him develop an ear for for special songs, which he proved with his debut single.

That ear is also in tune with the classics, which he has definitely proven with his choice of one of the greatest Christmas classic of all time for his first holiday release. The Catch of the Day today is WIlliam Michael Morgan with his special take on "White Christmas"; new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
