KLAW Classic

Today's KLAW Classic was recorded by two other female country artists before it hit the top spot.

I had no idea until we chose this song as the KLAW Classic that Garth Brooks was the one with the idea for this song, and had shopped it around to song writers but couldn't find the one that just 'got it'.

Who would have thought that a childhood bout with Malaria and the stuttering that it caused would become a signature for today's KLAW Classic artist.

Charley Pride has 7 number ones before he reached the top of the charts with today's KLAW Classic.

Johnny Lee spent years working with Mickey Gilley, both on the road and singing in Gilley's Pasadena night spot 'Gilley's'.  Part of the movie 'Urban Cowboy' was filmed there.

Strawberry Wine is the signature song for Deana Carter and song writer Matraca Berg, but the song very nearly didn't get recorded.

It's a familiar story.  Long lost love...almost forgotten, until a friend of a friend brings up her name.  It all comes crashing back and your are instantly transported back to that time and that love.

This could be one of my favorite songs of all time.  It's from Mark Chestnutt and it's today's KLAW Classic.
