The big pop cultural announcement this morning (via Entertainment Weekly) is that DC Comics is turning a bunch of classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons into a new line of comics. DC’s concept is to update these properties for 2016; not to simply continue their adventures as if no time has passed since their 1970s heyday, but to “revitalize the characters in a new day and age.”

Rough though the first hour may have been, FOX’s X-Files revival quickly bounced back with an effective stand-alone episode, one to be followed next Monday by a critical favorite. Whatever you make of the six-episode season’s curious sandwiching of mythology episodes, you might not have realized that “Founder’s Mutation” was intended to run much later, and now creator Chris Carter explains why.

It's been over a year since we've gotten an update on the new Little House on the Prairie movie. Last we heard, David Gordon Green had exited the project and was replaced by Martha Marcy May Marlene director and indie favorite Sean Durkin. And...that's it. All's been quiet on the prairie since then. Today brings news that Little House on the Prairie has moved over to Paramount, which means the project may be closer to actually happening.

When the CBS Supergirl TV series was announced, and then when its premiere approached, and again when it turned out to be a really good show, one question was repeated among the fans of the character: Where is Supergirl in the comics? Thankfully that question has now been answered with Adventures of Supergirl by Sterling Gates and Bengal, a digital-first series set in the world of the TV show.
