President Obama Announces US Troops Will Be Out of Iraq by Year’s End [VIDEO]
In a White House briefing held Friday, President Obama announced the remaining American troops in Iraq will be home by the end of the year, closing a war effort there that has killed more than 4,400 US servicepeople and wounded 32,000 more since 2003.
“After nine years, America’s war in Iraq will be over,” the president said.

UPDATE: Libyan Dictator Muammar Gadhafi Killed by Rebels in Sirte
Former Libyan dictator Muammar Gadhafi, who’s been in hiding since August when a NATO-backed rebel force seized his headquarters in Tripoli, was killed on Thursday after rebels stormed his hometown of Sirte, where the last remnants of troops loyal to him were hiding. He was 69 years old.

According to media outlets, Libyan officials are announcing the death of former Libyan dictator Muammar Gadhafi by wounds suffered when an eight-month-old revolution effort overran his hometown of Sirte.
