Arts for All, a nonprofit comprised of six member groups,this weekend presents the 42nd Annual Arts for All Festival, featuring a wide variety of festivities, including artists, vendors and entertainment for all ages.

Arts for All strives to promote fine arts in the Lawton-Fort Sill community and Southwest Oklahoma. One of its two major fundraisers of the year, the Arts for All Festival, gets underway today at 5 p.m. The weekend of festivities actually kicked off Thursday at the Museum of the Great Plains, with the Arts for All Soiree, highlighting community volunteers who have gone above and beyond for the organization and the member groups throughout the year. Volunteers recognized at the Soiree included:

Linda Chapman (Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra)

Marsha Thomas (Lawton Community Theater)

Bill Pitts (Southwest Oklahoma Opera Guild)

Dave McGowen (Wichita Wildlife Photographic Society)

April Weber (Lawton-Ft. Sill Art Council)

Dawn Rabon (Lawton Pro Musica)

Diane and Jim Mullins (Arts For All Festival)

Cheri Harrison (Arts For All Gala)

Ronda Norwell (Arts for All Board)

All of the award recipients received a personalized print from David Chase, who is a featured artist at the festival.

Profits from Arts for All Festival will go to support the Wichita Wildlife Photography Society, Lawton Pro Music, Lawton Community Theatre, the Southwest Oklahoma Opera Guild, Lawton/Fort Sill Art Council and Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra.
