After a nationwide manhunt, the FBI has captured Oklahoma fugitive Charles Dyer who was wanted for sexually assaulting a child and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. After a few weeks on the run Houston NBC affiliate KPRC is reporting 31 year old Charles Dyer was captured Thursday morning near a Fort Bend County elementary school.

Charles Dyer, a 31-year-old ex-Marine from Duncan, was caught around 8 a.m. Thursday, August 25, about 30 miles southwest of Houston. Someone spotted a man matching his description walking in a neighborhood in Pecan Grove, Texas. Dyer disappeared when he was scheduled to go on trial Aug. 15 in Duncan on a charge of raping a child. However Dyer failed to show. Dyer's anti-government rants are all over the Internet. The self-proclaimed patriot has claimed that the assault charge is part of a conspiracy against him.
