Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum is giving fans a sneak peek at his upcoming solo project by sharing one of its songs before the album's official release.

In the video above, Kelley and his band perform the song "Leaving Nashville," the record's final track. The lyrics are simple, and while they speak specifically about the experiences of a Music City songwriter, the song's message will resonate with anyone who has moved somewhere to pursue a dream.

“This song was actually written by a couple songwriters, Abe Stoklasa and Donovan Woods, and it’s about the struggles as a writer in Nashville -- ‘One day, you’re the king, the next, you’re not,'” Kelley tells American Songwriter. “You may go a year without having a cut, and then the phone starts ringing.”

With Lady A, Kelley has won several Grammy Awards and been on top of the country music mountain -- but, it took a lot of climbing.

"Being in a band like Lady Antebellum, we have had our fair share of ups and downs, and it’s hard for me to listen to this song and not hear myself in that," the artist adds. "What I love about it is this inside look of Nashville and the music business, but I think it’s so relatable because [we] all know what it’s like to have those moments in life where you’re never going to give up on a dream because it’s addictive.”

The Driver is set for release on Feb. 5 and is available for pre-order now via iTunes; the disc's title track has earned a nod for Best Country Duo / Group Performance at the 2016 Grammy Awards. However, if Lady Antebellum fans are worried about an impeding departure from the group, Kelley assures them that he's going nowhere.

“I wouldn’t have done this without Hillary [Scott] and Dave [Haywood] giving me their blessing,” Kelley says. “Lady Antebellum will always be my focus.”
